The best way to explore Curaçao is by rental car. Many of the island's most beautiful beaches, restaurants, and attractions are spread out, making a car the easiest and most convenient way to get around.

We recommend booking your rental car before your trip, especially during the high season. Several rental companies operate directly at Curaçao International Airport, while others, such as MB Equipment, can deliver your car to the airport and collect it again before your departure.

Before you leave home, download the Curaçao map in Google Mapsfor offline use. This allows you to navigate the island even without mobile data or an internet connection.

Driving and Parking

Driving in Curaçao is easy and most roads are well maintained.

We recommend parking at the Renaissance Parking Garage. It offers free parking and is just a short walk from Rif Fort, the Queen Emma Bridge, and the colorful streets of Punda. If you choose to park on the streets in Punda or Otrobanda, please note that paid parking applies Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 6 PM.

Fuel

Fuel prices in Curaçao are relatively affordable, and filling up an average rental car usually costs around €35. At most gas stations, you'll need to pay before fueling. Simply tell the cashier your pump numberand the amount you'd like to spend before returning to your vehicle.
